Ballard Escrow
was founded in 1994 by attorneys, Shelley Smith and Gregory Lawless. Greg,
having had a law practice in Ballard for over twenty years, inspired the
creation of Ballard Escrow as a unique escrow company to be owned and
operated by a staff of qualified real estate attorneys. Shortly after its
conception, Ivy Brunskill joined the company and added another element with
her extensive background in consumer lending. All attorneys, Greg, Shelley
and Ivy have worked to maintain the highest standard of service and expertise
which is the cornerstone of Ballard Escrow's success.
After nearly a decade of growth, Ballard Escrow now employs a staff of four
closers, three of whom are attorneys. Elmer Ray joined Ballard Escrow,
Inc., in 2002. His practice of law focused on real estate transactions.
Danette Johnson, although not an attorney, brings over twenty years of
experience, having worked primarily for real estate attorneys as a closer.
Ballard Escrow brings a unique perspective to the closing process. Ballard
Escrow combines exemplary service with unmatched expertise to give the
closing process clarity and to assure our clients that their real estate
transactions will close without delays and, more importantly, without
future legal problems. Real estate transactions can be very complicated.
Numerous parties are often involved. Spotting and resolving legal issues
can often be key to a smooth closing process. Ballard Escrow takes pride in
ensuring that all parties to the transaction are fully informed throughout
the closing process and clearly understand the legal implications of the
closing documents. Appropriate care and time is given to every client to
explain the process so, in the end, all parties are satisfied.
